Karnatka Government bans shootings
The Government of Karnataka has banned the film shooting Tollywood and Kollywood and also Bollywood at several of Hampi, Bidar Fort, Badami Cave temple etc. The Archaeological Survey of India is very upset with the film makers. According to ASI, first film makers takes the permission to shoot the movie for a particular historical area but they try to go shoot it on prohibited areas with heavy equipment like canes, Jimmy jib, generator etc. To protect the historical monuments the ASI has formed a committee to grant the permission for the film makers to shoot the movies at historical places after going through the script of the film.
